SNS時代において、私たちは簡単に他者とつながることができる。 しかし「OK」という承認を重ねるほど、承認欲求は膨張し、都合よく編集された世界だけが肥大化していく。本作は、SNSへアクセスする媒介であり、同時に身体の一部でもある「指」をモチーフに、そのプロセスを可視化したものである。繰り返される承認の結果、指は次第に膨れ上がり、歪み、変形していく。 それは、共感やつながりが豊かに見える一方で、選択的に構築された世界が、より不安定で歪な関係性を生み出していることを示唆している。 本作は、承認によって成り立つ現代のつながりの脆さと、その裏に潜む異常性を問いかける。
In the age of social media, we can connect with others effortlessly. Yet the more we approve one another through simple gestures like “OK,” the more our desire for recognition expands, along with a world edited to be convenient, agreeable, and selectively curated. This work visualizes that process through the motif of the human finger, a body part that also functions as an interface for accessing social networks. As approval accumulates, the finger gradually swells and deforms, symbolizing how excessive affirmation inflates not only individual desire but also an artificial reality shaped by mutual consent. What appears as connection and positivity on the surface quietly grows into something distorted, revealing the fragile and unstable nature of relationships built on continuous approval.
