This piece looks at the “loop of consumption” in social-media relationships through a colder kind of connection.
With a light fingertip CLICK, we can form links, but what runs through them often feels less like body heat and more like information and reflex. Even when we seem connected, the other person’s outline can stay vague, as if we are touching without truly knowing who they are. In this work, the fingertips are treated less like skin and more like a distorted material—dry, cracked, and entangled. I tried to express the feeling that the connection itself can take on a cold hardness, rather than the warmth of solidarity. As the crowd turns into an inner circle, the repeated hint of FADE suggests what happens next: relationships are absorbed by the speed of scrolling and quietly consumed. A casual click, a bond without body heat, and forgetting. I wanted to show the lonely pain that can remain underneath it.
