SNS時代において、私たちのつながりは、やわらかく、なめらかで、美しく見えるかたちで広がっていきます。しかしその表面では、見られるたびに痕跡が生まれ、その痕跡は次の反響を求めてさらに増幅していきます。本作は、そうした「見られること」への欲望が、花弁のようにしなやかに開きながら、同時に歪み、肥大し、際限なく咲き続けようとする状態を可視化したものです。一見すると高揚や美しさをまとった有機的なフォルムとして立ち現れますが、近くで見ると、それは生々しく、過剰で、どこかグロテスクでもあります。美しさと違和感、接続と孤立、開花と逸脱。BASK は、デジタル社会における歪で美しいつながりと、そこに潜む「もっと見られたい」という欲望の増殖を描いています。
BASK explores a state in which the desire to be seen begins to bloom, expand, and distort through repeated exposure. In the age of social media, our connections often appear soft, seamless, and beautiful on the surface. Yet every act of being seen leaves a trace, and each trace seeks another echo, another response, another gaze. This work visualizes that condition as an aorganic form that opens like a petal while simultaneously swelling beyond control. At first glance, it appears luminous, sensual, and graceful. Up close, however, it becomes excessive, unsettling, and faintly grotesque. Balancing beauty and discomfort, connection and isolation, blooming and deviation, BASK portrays the distorted yet seductive structure of connection in digital society, and the endless proliferation of the desire to be seen.
